For a while now, I wanted to move all of our coffee into cute mason jars. My husband built an amazing hanging pallet shelf for the wall and a corner shelf for our coffee/tea bar in the kitchen. So I wanted adorable jars to organize the coffee instead of keeping everything in their original packaging. However, the lids had no inserts so I whipped some up and used washi tape to label the coffee.
- Mason Jars
- Washi Tape
Place the cardboard down on a flat surface. Turn the mason jar lid upside down and put on top of the cardboard. Trace the outside of the lid and cut out. The cardboard piece should fit perfectly inside the jar lid.
Test the cardboard piece by placing it into the lid. Check to see if the stripes are straight, the colors are right or if the edges need trimming. Once it is all set, take it back out and use a marker pen to write the name of what is going into the jar. Pour the contents into the jar and screw the lid on. Take some washi and finish up the edge (optional).
There you have it. Coffee never looked cuter. Okay well maybe freshly brewed in a nice cozy mug. It’s awesome using washi tape as a jar label because it’s easy to switch out and change later on. I love the look of the jar now and I can store the leftover coffee away and display the beautiful jar instead.
