Make DIY door hangers with washi tape – a quick craft that the kids will have a blast making. This is SO easy; no crafting skills required.
Door signs are really a thing of the past, but there’s no reason why you can’t create DIY door hangers with washi tape and make them COOL again!
DIY Door Hangers
You just need a few supplies:
- Unfinished wood door hangers
- Washi tape – all the patterns!
- Small flags, letters, and other embellishments
- X-Acto knife or craft scissors
I did my two door signs two different ways. For the pink sign, I only taped the front, then turned it over and used a razor blade to trim the excess.
For the super hero sign, I wrapped the tape all the way around and then just used a razor blade to cut out the door handle circle! Both methods are easy to do and took about 10 minutes per sign.
I added washi tape to the bunting to add some pizzaz to the girly sign.
It was the perfect surprise to hang on my girl’s door!
Making Washi Tape Door Signs is also the perfect craft to do with the kids. Pour out your washi tape collection and let them decorate their own signs.
These DIY door hangers would also make the perfect activity for a birthday party or play date! Washi tape can keep the kids busy for ages. Mom win! Grab some inexpensive rolls in the craft store dollar bins and you’ll have an big stash in no time.
