Use wood skewers and your favorite patterns of washi tape to make these cute DIY arrows – you can use them for parties or home decor.
If you are ever having a bad day, sit down and make some washi tape arrows. You will be super happy the rest of the day. It only takes a few materials and a few minutes to whip up these adorable little things. Then come back and leave a comment about the joy that filled your heart.
What you’ll need:
- Wooden skewers
- Washi Tape
Take about an inch of tape and attach it to the pointy part of the skewer at an angle. Turn it over and attach another piece of tape to the other side.
Mirror the same double tape on the other side. Seal a piece of tape to the bottom of the triangle of the arrow and again on the other side. Take scissors to clean up the edges.
Using the same method as you did with the arrow, take four pieces of tape to create a “feather” about two inches from the end of the skewer.
Alternate the colors of washi tape to a lovely pattern. Use the scissors to clean the edges of the “feathers”.
Now display the cute arrows, sit back and smile really big. This would be an amazing project to do with older kiddos and experiment with different ways to create the arrows.
Cut fringe, add tape with patterns or enlarge the arrow. They make a sweet addition to our already fun family wall.
