One of our favorite vacation spots is Rockport, MA. Beautiful salty air, amazing ocean views, fresh seafood and the cutest shops. This past summer I gathered a bunch of driftwood to incorporate in our home.
A little paradise amongst the clutter. Recently I needed something to hold my washi tape collection. Here’s how you can create a simple organizer with a piece of driftwood.
What you’ll need:
- Twine or string
- Washi tape
Double tie one end of the twine about two inches from one side of the driftwood piece. Use hot glue for extra security, if you prefer.
Time to load up your washi tape! Slide the driftwood right through the center of the rolls.
Finish off the holder by tying the loose end of the twine to the other side of the driftwood piece. Again, you can use hot glue for extra security.
I’m having fun finding new places around the studio to hang the washi tape holder. Right now it’s displayed under a vintage wire trap hung on the wall to hold artwork.
It’s really convenient having all the rolls at my fingertips while I work. It’s also a joy seeing the assortment of pretty colors and patterns.
