Make a tic tac toe game using washi tape

Hello! I’m so happy to be here! I’m Janel and I blog at NellieBellie . . .

Today I am uber pleased to show you a portable washi tic tac toe game I recently made to bring in our camper.

I used blocks for the pieces so that this game has a double purpose. Blocks for my young nephews and tic tac toe for my kids. I’m all about multi-purpose!

Make a Tic-Tac-Toe Game

To make your own washi tic tac toe you will need:

  • blocks
  • a box to fit your blocks
  • washi tape
  • Mod Podge
  • utility/craft knife

1. Cover one side of your blocks with washi tape. You should have at least 4 “X’s” and 4 “O’s”. Don’t worry if your tape hangs over the edge; we will trim it.

2. Use a craft or utility knife to trim the tape. Just flip the block upside down (tape side down) and trim the edges.

3. Cover your box. Use washi tape to cover your box however you like. We did each side in a different tape.

4. Cover the washi tape on your blocks and on your box in Mod Podge. Let dry.

There you have it . . . an adorable box of blocks that doubles as a fun tic tac toe game!
