Use your favorite washi tape patterns to makeover an old, rusty three-hole punch. Doesn’t it look so much better? Very easy to do!
A good project is when you take something ugly and turn into something beautiful. This was a very good project, friends. If you have a rusty old hole puncher hang around, take out your cute washi tapes and get to work!
- A hole puncher
- Three different roles of washi tape
Starting at one end of the hole puncher, lay a piece of tape across and cut. Tuck any tape edges under the side.
Alternate the patterns and colors of tape all the way from one end to the other. Fold and tuck the tape.
Turn the hole puncher over and use one color tape to cover the front panels. This is where the measurements are so if you use those, then don’t hide them. I don’t so it was exciting to make them pretty.
Then cover the sides, making sure to tuck the edge pieces of the tape. Use your thumb to press the tape down all over the hole puncher.
Then enjoy your new super cute hole puncher! I was going to spray paint it gold but using the washi tape was more fun. Plus I love the idea of being able to switch out patterns and colors whenever I want a change. Hm now I think she needs a matching scissors and stapler.
