Use the ends of your rolls of washi tape to make this DIY votive holder – all you need is a few scraps! Get your glass at the dollar store to make it cheap.
Working with washi tape is so much fun. The more projects I do, the more I love playing with tape. Unfortunately, there are a lot of extra scraps leftover.
Little delicious looking pieces of washi just waiting to be used but alas . . . small pieces are hard to incorporate into a project. Until now.
Here’s what you’ll need for this DIY votive holder:
- Candle holder
- Scraps pieces of washi tape
First wipe the candle holder clean with rubbing alcohol. Start placing pieces of washi tape, one on top of another.
Keep piling the pieces on top of each other, creating a confetti type pattern. Use your fingernails to secure the ends down.
Now you have a super adorable candle holder! I just popped in an LED tea light and enjoyed the washi glow.
The different patterns and colors are so fun with the lights on and then the way they overlap through the tea light in the dark is amazing. I’m keeping all of my washi tape scraps to make more of these!
