Create your own DIY page dividers with washi tape – you can identify your tabs with ease! Makes a perfect back-to-school or office craft idea. SO simple.
It’s Sarah from The Simply Crafted Life, and I am so excited to be back again to be sharing my fourth post with you! I know everyone is in back to school mode, and the same is true here.
We actually have 3-4 weeks left of summer in my neck of the woods, depending on what school board you attend, but it’s never too early to prepare, right?
One of the things I love about washi tape is that its so simple. Have you ever seen a complex washi tape project? They are so far and few between, if they even exist at all.
That’s the beauty of washi tape I think – it gives you the ability to create something personalized and pretty without being difficult and time demanding
These DIY page dividers are no exception. They are simple and easy to create as well.
DIY Page Dividers
All you need is a set of page dividers, washi tape, and scissors.
To start, take the little white tabs out of the page dividers, or, if your dividers are a new set, break them apart.
I chose to use a different color for each tab, but it would also look great if you went with a monochromatic scheme too and had five different patterns of the same color.
Wrap each little tab in washi tape, both the front and the back, and then cut the excess off. Use a sharpie to write on each tab – I wrote the subjects, but this is also a great way to organize a family binder!
You can add a little washi to the front of each divider too and write any important class info on there, like the teacher, time slot, semester, etc.
I love how the patterns of the tape make the dividers match with the playful colors of the binder!
I bet you could fancy up any of your school supplies with washi tape – what do you think we should do next? Have you added washi to any of your school supplies?
Amy and I would love to know – so leave a comment below if you have!
