Create a thankful tree using washi – your Thanksgiving guests can each add what they are thankful for. What a pretty display!
With Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, I’ve been brainstorming ideas. We’re hosting this year and I want to do something unique and fun. A Thankful Tree would be awesome!
It’s where guests can write what they’re thankful for on little tags and hang them up. Here’s how I incorporated washi tape for some added flair.
- Pendant paper puncher
- Hole puncher
- Washi tape
Using the pendant paper puncher, cut out a few tags. Then add a stripe of washi tape to the top of them. I chose a few different designs of tape so not all the tags looked the same.
Then hole punch right in the center of the strip. Tie a piece of string to each tag.
Now add a tagline to each one with a thin marker and place them beside an artificial tree or branches. When guests come over, they can write what they’re thankful for and hang them up for everyone to read.
The kids are going to love to do this. It will definitely be a nice interactive activity with a deeper meaning for the holiday.
